Meet Ollie - Personal Trainer, Health Columnist, and Longevity Enthusiast.
I'm Ollie, founder of Welltolead. Using my longevity-centric approach, I specialise in helping people in midlife - and those approaching it - exercise for longevity, regain peak energy, and feel like they did in their 20s.
Together, we build lifelong health, develop strong, durable, pain-free bodies, and prepare for disease-free healthy aging, so they can thrive at every stage of life.
Over the past decade, I’ve helped hundreds of London’s busiest individuals to transform their physical health. Now based in East Cambridgeshire, I bring my expertise and passion to this new community, offering both in-person and online coaching, as well as corporate wellness consulting.

How Welltolead Can Help You
Welltolead is a performance-focused health coaching company dedicated to promoting a healthier, more energised, and resilient life.
We equip individuals with the tools, strategies, and personalised support they need to not only optimise their wellness today, but future-proof for tomorrow.
Our approach is rooted in three core pillars: fitness, energy, and nourishment.
We focus on how you move, how you recover, and how well you nourish, helping you create sustainable habits for true vitality and performance.
Many of our clients are busy professionals either in or approaching midlife that come to us feeling unfit, drained, and struggling with aches and pains. They’re tired of running on empty, unhappy with how they look, and concerned about how their health-status is affecting their physical and mental performance.
At Welltolead, we tackle these challenges head-on, helping our clients to break free from the cycle of fatigue, look and feel at their best, maintain high energy levels, and crucially, develop a body that’s pain-free, disease-free, and built to last.
My Why
For me, the primary focus isn’t just about looking great - it's about chasing health and longevity. When you focus on health, looking good will naturally follow. My approach is centred around building a body that can both operate at its best now and withstand the test of time. While time will ultimately have its way with us, we can take steps to ensure that our bodies remain vibrant, resilient and capable for as long as possible.
We’re a fatigued population, and it's more severe than ever before. People are struggling to find a balance between being stimulated and stressed, and effectively restoring energy. Physical fitness, muscle mass, and overall vitality aren’t where they should be for a vibrant, pain-free, long life. Our nutrition is misaligned with proper nourishment - over 50% of UK calories come from ultra-processed foods. Our sleep is broken with the average Brit sleeping only 5.91 hours per night. Many of us are stuck in a caffeine-alcohol cycle, and ultimately, not only is our well-being compromised now, but our long-term health is also at risk. This is a problem I’m trying to solve.
I’m inspired by seeing 70- and 80-year-olds who are physically fit, still moving well, vibrant, disease-free, and continuing to enjoy the activities they love. My personal goal is to be a grandfather who can be depended on, someone who remains active and capable, rather than becoming a burden due to actions I didn’t take when I had the chance. I believe many of you share this same wish for yourselves.
Many of the characteristics we associate with aging - like stiffness, joint pain, weakness, movement difficulties, and slowing speed - are actually the result of losing physical condition. By addressing this in our 30s, 40s and 50s, with attention to exercise, energy, sleep, nourishment and stress, the vast majority of these effects can be prevented.
We all face the inevitability of aging - disease, movement challenges, and overall health decline are part of life. I've seen many family members face these struggles firsthand, and I believe these challenges don’t have to consume the last two decades of our lives. Instead, we can push them off until the final months.
Unexpected events and genetics will always play a role - those are factors beyond our control. However, I’m committed to doing everything within my power to stack the deck in my favour. I believe that while clinical factors contribute to a small part of this, for most, lifestyle is the primary cause - and therefore, lifestyle improvements will be the solution.
Why Longevity Is a Major Focus of Mine
Aging comes to us all, manifesting in various ways, but three specific preventable factors underpin the physical decline we experience as we approach midlife and beyond:
Age-related muscle loss, commonly known as sarcopenia.
A rapid decline in strength and joint health.
A reduction in cardiovascular health and capacity.
You might be thinking, “Well, I’m not concerned about having big muscles or being particularly fit or strong.”
The truth is, these three factors affect us all, and have far-reaching consequences if left to develop, impacting all areas of our health - from cardiovascular and metabolic diseases to cancer, cognitive decline, arthritis, fatal falls, weak bones, and much more. It’s clear why these three factors are the leading predictors of healthspan and lifespan.
Did you know that between the ages of 30 and 70, if unaddressed, most people will lose upwards of 30% of their muscle mass, with strength losses of almost 150% of that?
Muscle is a critical organ. Not only is it key for our hormones, but it’s also a metabolic sink that stores the majority of our glucose, playing a crucial role in preventing conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.
Muscle, and more specifically the strength, power, bone density, and joint health that quality muscle creates, also play a vital role in protecting the body. They prevents falls, broken bones, disability, and frailty, allowing you to move independently, pain-free, and with ease.
Statistics show that being in the top 20% of strength for your age results in a threefold reduction in all-cause mortality compared to those in the bottom 20%.
Additionally, if you’re over 65 years old and you fall and break your hip, the probability of mortality within 12 months post-fall is up to 30% - which is staggering.
And it’s not all about muscle, Individuals in the lowest 25% of VO2 max (a measure of cardiovascular fitness) have a threefold higher risk of death compared to those in the highest 25%.
It’s pretty clear…
Building and maintaining quality muscle and a healthy heart during your 30s, 40s, and beyond is especially important for your longevity, overall health, and quality of life.
Think of muscle as your body armour because, in all honesty, it’s the closest thing we have to it.
The good news is, all three of these factors can be addressed, dramatically slowed, and even prevented through the right strategies, actions, and habits.
This is where Welltolead come in.
